About Cazadores Cut Gear's Cut Vests: During years of field testing cut vests on wild boar hunts in South Texas, we have continually refined and improved the design and construction of our vests. Cazadores Cut Gear vests, are the vests we always wished we had when we first started boar hunting. Whenever we saw an area of weakness in our vests we strengthened it. We looked at years of tusk inflicted cut damage on our vests, and reinforced the areas that received damage most often. We many tested different combinations of materials, and vest designs.
In the culmination of almost a decade of testing, we have arrived at what we believe to be the finest, and most technically advanced cut vests available on the market. They offer the best compromise of movement vs. protection that we have seen in any cut vest. Our vests are built with some of the most advanced fabrics available. We use water-shedding materials (instead of industrial felt) taking into account how often wild boar make their ‘last stand’ in or around water. We are using the newest stab/puncture resistant Kevlar composite fabric designed to protect prison guards as our primary reinforcement. Its water shedding abilities as well as its lightweight and virtual impenetrability make it a huge factor in our vest’s performance.
Several well thought out and well designed options are available on all of our vests, such as our “Tusk Guard” feature, which makes the cut collar and vest one solid piece of armor in a frontal attack. Custom color schemes are also available at extra cost.

Baydog Vest - Level I:
Our Level I Baydog Vest is a mid length vest designed to offer protection for cur dogs. It is designed under the premise that for cur dogs, flexibility and agility is more important than added protection, and the added restriction that comes with it. (Vest may come with 2 straps or 3 straps, length dictates the number of straps required.)
Our Level I Curdog vest provides two layers of cordura, with no kevlar, and is mid-length on most baydogs. This provides moderate protection, excellent flexibility, ease of movement and heat dissipation.
